You might remember that early december I found my dream watch, the yellow gold silver dial 5021. After a few days I noticed that the moonphase was not shown correctly and the watch had to be sent to Schaffhausen for a complete service to deal with this problem. Last week she came back from service and I can only say that the people at IWC did a great job. The watch and even the deployant buckle look like new and of course the moonphase is now shown correctly now. So finally I can really start enjoying this wonderfull watch. Just want to thank the people at IWC Amsterdam and in Schaffhausen for the great work and service I received from them.

Norbert -
Just out of curiosity, approximately how many days was the moon phase indicator off? If it was only off a day or two off would you have still sent it in for service?

Hi Norbert
Great to have your 'baby' back, I'm sure. The service at IWC does really amazing things, there is no doubt. I have had a number of watches serviced there, and it is never disappointing.

@Tracy The moon phase was 4-5 days ahead, enough to kind of distrurb me and sent it in for service. The Jeweler I bought the watch from offered to pay 50% of the costs so that made the decision a bit easier for me. Furthermore it was originally sold in 2007 and probably made around 2004-2005. I guessed a full service would be needed in due time. The watch is now in as new condition with factory warranty on the service so no regrets here ;-))
Regards, Norbert

Norbert - She looks fantastic - great work indeed - and I agree with you completely for correcting the moon phase and the service.
Regarding when the 18k Yellow 5021 was made - My recollection is that this model was made in 2003, and perhaps only a few in early 2004 before it was discontinued. I could be mistaken.
