Hello everyone!
I need help with watch which is in my family from 3 generations. This is Portuguese with number 1123731, have got gold elements and it is only thing i know about this watch. Unfortunately it is very rusty (i think glass or face goes yellower), but i will give it to renovation.
i don't know how old it is and if it is worth anything.
I will by very grateful for every help.

Here is your image. Could you tell us the diameter of the case. I don't think it is a highly collectable 42mm vintage Portuguese but it rather looks like a cal. 83 to me. The case number dates this watch around 1946. I'm not an expert on vintage pieces so maybe someone else can comment with more certainty.

I don't know English terminology about watches so I put sizes at the photo.
Do you know anything more about this watch? Since when this model was produced and when they stop produced it? Is there some special name on this model or something else like a number or something which could help with searching information about it?
It's not a Portuguese, but it is a very nice watch most likely from the 1940s. Back then, almost all IWC models didn't have names, and each watch came in many variations: dial styles, metals, lugs, etc. Each "model" had a reference number which generally was three digits. You can find it by taking the watch to a watchmaker: usually these numbers are inside the caseback. Also, you then can get the movement number and we can date the watch exactly.
You also can perhaps find it by searching the vintage catalogs. I've compiled most known ones at click here.
I can't tell if your number is the case number (on the inside of the caseback) or the movement number (on the movement). If it is the former, it's likely the watch was cased in 1946; if it's the latter then your movement was made in 1946 and is a Calibre 88....really the successor to the Calibre 83 mentioned above. They were IWC's small seconds manual movements during the 1940s (and there's more if you search the archives).
Even though the watch now can be dated to around 1946, in theory it might have been sold a year or two later. Also, it's definitely not a Portuguese, although the style is similar (the big difference is the size and movement).
