I am getting one step closer to getting my feet wet and buying the IWC 5001-14. Can I please get opinions on this piece? Any regrets? Which IWC watch do you wish you purchased instead?
BTW, I tried the Yacht Club, but that is too much watch for my wrist. Makes my 44mm PAM look small.

I love that watch - especially the picture I saw of one on a dark brown strap. I wish I could remember who posted that. It hasn't left my mind since I saw it.
I'm sure you'll love the watch. Please post pictures when you get it!

Great watch! I know what you mean about the yacht club. My wrist is under 7 inches and even at a touch over 42 mm, the 5001 is surprisingly comfy and balanced on the wrist. Cheers!

The 7 days Portuguese is one sweet watch to own, I owned one in stainless steel with black dial a few years back, regretably, I sold that one long ago. But I am soon will be acquiring one with the silver/rose gold numeral.

The Portuguese Automatic is a great watch indeed and I don't regret buying mine. I do notice however that I don't wear it that often anymore since I got the Big Pilot. The Portuguese Automatic still gets a decent amount of wrist time though and every time I strap it on, I am impressed by the watch.

Thanks,
Sanjay
