Honestly, it seems no matter how much care I take of my watches, they still seem to attract a bit of dust with everyday use. Its not a problem really, until you look at the watch with a magnifier. The crown area usually is a magnet for fine particles.
Case in point: my everyday watch. A year ago I purchased this fine timepiece. Can you guess which one is it just by looking at the crown?

Here is a mid-shot :-)
Dust or no dust, this watch is an absolute masterpiece!

While the watches face can attract dust, that can be wiped rather easily compared to the amount that settles within the detail of the crown itself.
Again, that is hardly an issue considering how magnificent the watch is :-)
