Hello! I have inherited a vintage solid silver Schaffhausen pocket watch and would like to know what it's worth. My jeweller is a pretty knowledgeable watch and clock person, but says this is "out of his league". He estimates it's from the early 1900's. It has been recently tuned and cleaned and is said to be in EXCELLENT condition. You set the time by pushing down on tab to the left of the winding reel. It has a small minute circle at the bottom that is marked from 0-60 seconds in 10 second intervals. The big roman numerals for the hour have 13-24 in red numbers just above each roman numeral from 1-12. I live in a rural area with no one close by to apraise the watch. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks for your time and consideration.
We don't do appraisals here, but we can tell you more with case and movement serial numbers. Photos, too, help since condition is important. And check out various IWC pocket watch info through a Google search.
Regards, Michael
