Dear fellow watch enthousiasts,
I am almost buying a beautiful timepiece of IWC dating from the 50's. It's an automatic and the dial looks stunning. The only thing not authentic is the leather strap.
I was wondering is you guys could check out the watch and see if you find any strange things. It will cost me around 1000 euro's and it had a full service job 1 year ago. Do you guys know why the back is not gold?

Also he gave me these:
cal: 1299383
watch: 1348401
I hope you can help me with this!
Cheers,
Ferdinand

Several models were sold for less by using steel backs with gold cases.
This watch looks fully authentic and in relatively good condition, but the images were small and I couldn't see the dial closely.
