I looked for years to find a mother in law with a Grande complication and a daughter not maried yet. LOL But to be honest, I am very happy that like Bill the mother of my daughter wears an IWC.

My mother did, a rather plain looking all-day woman's watch. In fact, the story my father told me about the brand planted the seed into my head: good to IWC, forty years later a lot of IWC's for the son. The watch stopped eventually, my mother got almost a heart attack when she heard what it would cost to repair it, and bought a Swatch instead, that she wore until she passed away. I still have that watch, still not repaired.
Kind regards, Paul

Sadly her watch was stolen and I can not remember what it was. Then she just wore cheap things. "She who must be obeyed" on the other hand has a Rolex and a JLC duetto. She was after a PP 24 but I said it was a quartz and in consequence was a waste of good money, so the duetto was her other choice and at least it has a proper movement in it. Sorry to anyone who has purchased a PP 24 but all that money for a watch that requires a battery strikes me as a waste. Think of how many Swatch models you could buy!
When did ladies models get dropped and yes I know we have some ladies who wear the current models?! Chanel seem to have done rather well out of ceramic and some even have mechanical movements, who makes the cases and the movements though?

Yes, bummer. But the new Sub C is quite a watch, making some healthy competition for the Ingenieur Automatic.
Kind regards,
Paul

Thanks.
(from a guy whose wife does have a quartz watch, and believes there are excellent quartz movements, including from IWC)
