absolutely Michael, my wrong definition, I did not mean stamping on the movement but on the inner side of the back case...just wondering if the pocket watch you show here has the PS stamping.. thanks
Michael Friedberg Wrote:Simius, I'm not not sure without double-checking but I don't think that any IWC movements until 2000 (and then on the rotors) had Probus Scafusia stampings. I've always seen it on the inside of the case back.
OneRed --have you seen all watches in this series and are you sure none have been PS stamped?
I have a photo of the inside case back, but it is only a partial image so I cannot tell. But the case number stamping looks, at least to me, consistent with Schaffhausen production.

well, I asked about the PS, simply because stamping is said to be done on all watches as from 1909, if I'm not wrong, but I guess that of course there are many other indications, such as serial number.. cheers

Hello MF
OneReds statement is completly correct. These watches have no PS stamped in the case nor in the movement. Please keep in mind, these case Nos were assigned a second time as the RN asked for identical case and movement Nos.

Hello MF,
"OneRed --have you seen all watches in this series and are you sure none have been PS stamped"?
Have you ever seen one example from this series that was stamped?
