So no surprise there -but nice to see that even in those days IWC turned to the top reputable suppliers for their watch components. Clearly, then as now QUALITY was a major focus area for IWC.So, still no answer as to why no serial number on this case back - but any day in which I (we) learn and/or recall some of IWC history, is a good day in my book.Best regardsMark
