I have a balck face Pilots chronograph watch with a black alligator strap. I was seeking to find out if a black rubber and/or the mesh strap would work with my watch?

There is a bracelet for this watch and since I have that very watch IW3717 with bracelet I can honestly say that A) It is not a thick bracelet B) It is easy on the wrist and whilst I have other bracelet watches whether for gardening duties or smart duty this correct bracelet is a joy to wear.
One thing to note is that it is shaped to close fit the curve of the watch case were as the Milanese bracelet for the Portofino is not.
I don't know what model you have, Mecaquartz, 3706 or 3717, but different size bracelets apply. You need to measure the width between the lugs. Then you can find after-market straps by outside suppliers. A dealer also can help.

Thank you Michael- I have model IW3706. I was hoping that I could be able to determine if the IWC rubber band would work with this unit?

thanks for your feedback joeC
The model number is 3706. Thnaks for feedback. I am hoping that the IWC rubber band on the Portugese yacht club chrono would work?

The current strap for this watch ex IWC is 20/18mm which means it's 20mm at the lugs and 18mm at the buckle. So the important bit for you plans is the 20mm
I have no idea as to whether the rubber strap would fit.
Likewise there is a factory bracelet part no. IWA 13653, which has shaped lugs to fit snug to the case or an aftermarket 20mm bracelet with straight lug fitting will be fine. A curved end aftermarket bracelet may not be the required profile and therefore leave a gap or require judicious use of a file! Best of luck!

PS After Market bracelets may be matt or polished and likewise all stainless steel is not the same colour due to it's composition and numerous other factors. Therefore the bracelet could upstage the watch!

I have a IWC Der Fliegerchrono ss watch band that will not fit my Mk XVI. The local jeweler tells me that the end piece that fits the watch has the wrong holes and maybe a Mk XVI ss attachment piece might work. Anyone have knowledge on this or can lead me to a pair of end pieces would help. thanks, Ladd on Orcas island, Wa.
