It was a bright moonlight night last night I noticed that there were shadows cast by the moon, so..... I took the camera set the ISO to 640 stuck on the 50mm f1.8 and tried taking photos of my 5001 SS White dial gold hands using the moon to highlight the centre of the dial. Visually it worked but without a tripod the photos were awful. The moon was so bright that it was easy to read the dial by the moonlight and with a bit of care the second hand and PR were readable....just.
Does this qualify as similar to framing old watch adverts?

Greg - you may well have created a prototype or at least a mock up of a stainless steel portuguese moon phase white dial, gold hands ! that must surely qualify for at least an advert for the 500114, if not the inspiration for an upcoming model !
XZACM102 - its a nice framed poster, and that's the platinum version I believe - I love that version. For some strange reason I can't see your pic through regular broadband, and can see it only through my blackberry.
I won't worry about this taking anything too far. you're fortunate in that you already own a Portuguese Automatic. Earlier in the year @ the Portofino 2011 preview, I was given an IWC photoframe and encased within it was a picture of the watch closest to the one I most liked of the new releases - the rose gold 8 day handwound. That, I must say, was quite a mindjob. I still look at that picture almost everyday. Its been taken out of its housing, and I will try to find the frame again and post a pic.

Bring back the poster page and eventually add some silly/indispensable gadgets! LOL
