Thanks for the follow up on the strap question. Too bad, the chrono would look great on the rubber strap. I'm trying to decide between the Inge chrono black dial and the big Inge. Too many great choices! Jeff

I am not much of a fan of the current Ingenieur's nor chrono's ingeneral (even though I have a 3799) - much preferring the original, round, simple design of the original Ingenieur's but I have to say that shot of the steel chrono really has me thinking otherwise!
The black face with the mix of satin / machined and polished / "shiny" finished case really is striking and I think the black strap just makes it stand out even more - your shots seem to do the watch even more justice than the web site - maybe you could land a gig with IWC's marketing department taking shots for them :)
Still not overly fussed with the Ti but each to their own
Great shots Shing and keep them coming!
Cheers,
Ben

Sean Li Wrote: Hi Jeff,
Unfortunately, the straps aren't interchangeable between the two Ingenieurs because they use different attachment systems (if you see on Shing's photo, the rubber strap uses the same system as the older Aquatimers; you push on the button in the middle of the lug, then slide out a metal bar. The other Ingenieur uses spring bars.
Thanks for clarifying Sean - I do like Alligator straps, it's just that with the "heavy duty" watch like the Ingenieur I think a rubber strap works much better. I know I wouldn't take one with a leather/alligator strap mountain climbing :-) With that said though, I know we don't always wear our watches on rough adventures so why not alligator for normal wear and then another strap (rubber/bracelet/nylon) for when we go on our own "expeditions" :-)

Hi Rave, absolutely. I'll drop you an email. Looks like November is *the* month for meeting up, as there are two gtgs targeted for that month.

My personal favourite is this one. If it had a date function, I would buy it in an instant. 2006 Portuguese Chronograph Laureus Edition (Whichwatch)

Lovely watches Shing.
Looking for a Blue watch, what would you suggest: Ingenieurs or Da Vinci.
Any other recommendations. Would love to see images if possible.

Thanks Shing. I too was looking at the Laureus Vintage Collection (Ingenieur). It looks beautiful. Actually Blue & Red have been favorite colours of mine since my childhood days. I saw a blue watch on someones hand, it looked amazing. Thanks for your feedback. Will keep you posted on the same. Regards, MK
My advice is to start a habit of buying a new IWC every Friday at the Boutique. Just imagine the collection you'd have by next year!

Hmmm. I"m not a big fan of blue, but the new Plastiki (see Alan's post) and the Laureus blue Da Vincis look good. The new Laureus Vintage COllection Ingenieur is a special blue also.
