Ouch! That's still a sore spot around this neck of the woods! :>)) This is one of the most impressive sports watches I've seen. I think IWC hit all the right 'notes' on this special edition!
Oh Jim, I'm sorry, I swear I thought I shoudn't have written that five minutes after posting (thinking of you) but then the damage was done, editing wouldn't have worked, sorry.
I give you something to console yourself: think of someone waiting for more than a century to win the world series and then you'll have a glimpse of my personal tragedy! LOL

Wear your tragedy with pride: no world series in your part of the world (and in our part of the Netherlands, although we became both world champions in baseball and bridge in October), but your age is quite impressive! (although it must feel like 200 years, waiting, waiting ...)
Kind regards, Paul

Ah, the sweet taste of victory. My team, the World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals, is enjoying their 11th Baseball World Series Championship, second only to the Yankees. The Cubs and Rangers will have to wait another year.
This is OT, for sure, but I'll get my bragging rights in before this is deleted by a native Chicagoan.

Michael, Is the rubber strap with deployment clasp the patented quick release strap (from cartier)? because it looks great and if they are interchangable they can fit my AT.. cheers BAS DEKKERS

Exactly what I would like to do: use the YC strap and deployant clasp on my Aquatimer (3769). Even if we conclude the strap is not interchangeable, has anyone found a way to use a deployant clasp with the late-model Aquatimer? Thanks in advance.
Kind regards, Daniel

Will be produced in ONE out of XXX or each with unique number?
Great piece!

It's not a Limited Edition. Like the AT Galapagos, this watch is a Special Edition and will be produced as long as someone buys them ;)
