Dear all,
I have an old IWC automatic watch. Having taken it to jewellers, none seem to be able to commit on a valuation. Can anyone provide guidance on collectors forums or how I could estimate its value.
Mike --we can't appraise here, but if you have photos you can post, and possibly serial numbers, we can tell you about your watch. You then might be able to search the Net for identical or similar watches for sale, which should give you a general idea of the market.

Hi,
Thank you for the replies. Apologies for not getting back to you sooner but I had not received a notification that anyone had responded. Unfortunately I can't attached a photo here. If I email it to you would you be able to take a look please?

Michael,
why not post some pictures, leave your email address, and hopefully some forummers knowledgeable about the value of your IWC timepiece will write to you ?

Picture Uploading - A Snappy Guide To upload a pic to the forum, you will need to first upload the picture onto a hosting site. This can be space provided by your internet service provider (your account may already come with one with a limited size). Whatever the case, the pic has to reside on a permanently live server and cannot be on your harddrive.
Quick Step One: most people sign up for a free host at www.photobucket.com Quick Step Two: Upload your pic, preferably in 640x480 size Quick Step Three: Look for this box below and click on the URL beside IMG Code, and paste it directly in ‘Your Comment’ box when writing a new comment in the forum. Quick Step Four: check, check, check that you have successfully uploaded the pic (like I have done with the image directly above :) by using the preview button i.e. clicking on the ‘tick’, just above the ‘Your Comment’ box. And you’re done !

Any help would be appreciated.

this forum is notoriously non commercial and pricing is out of place but I believe vintage world makes exception.
A good start would be to post some pictures of your watch, then things will happen.
BTW, Welcome!
Regards,

Roberto
