I'm edging towards buying a pink gold portuguese 2000. But what are your views towards this watch? With that price would you buy one? I can think of many other options and personally wished it comes with a date function.
I welcome all views. Do help me out here...
Thanks guys, Boon

Hi Boon Lee!
Though I collect "vintage" IWC´s If ONE modern watch to own then it would be the watch pictured above either in gold or platinum. I´m a bit ambivalent about the black dial, steel version, like the white dial better(I think). And since it´s out of production it´s almost vintage(just trying to convince myself here) :-)
The only alternative as I see it would be minute repeating Portuguese, but it´s a few bucks more I guess......

Just go for it ,and if...
...you regret later, then you can re-sell it to me (for half of the price!!!) No kidding Boon,I would not let that pass (budget permitting,of course) Ciao Paolo

another view IMHO
Hi Boon, I sort of have the same dilema, that I would like a Da Vinci rose gold to be my ultimate (most expensive) IWC in the year ahead.
wilI I loss interest in other IWC, which is equally interesting?(cal 88, cal160, AT Ti, cal41..) and the leisure of finding that particular timepiece, and keep my eyes open to other IWC which I have not yet come across? Just my HO.
Oh nice choice, wish it doesn't has 'AUTOMATIC' on the dial, and I will pick it up from Mr. Paballa for half of what he pays you, plus a cuppa coffee :)

Interesting point..
Hi Paolo,
That's part of the reason for my hestitation. The re-sale value. Not necessary selling it, but I can see the possiblity of trading for another desirable piece. Losing half of what you pay for is hardly a sound investment in my opinion.....

I admire that watch
But the price is too high for me. If I could afford, maybe. Buf if you're already thinking of reselling it ... If it appeals your emotions you're on the right way.

A difficult but very attractive dilemma, indeed.

That's if I bump into one....
Good, if you still have dreams that will last a while.
