The problem with announcing the opening of the boutique is that it depends on when construction is completed, and an occupancy permit is issued --not a sure thing in a complicated place like New York. It's "hoped" that the boutique will open at the very end of March or a few days later. I can tell you that the watches are already available and Noreen, the new manager who a few of you met in Geneva, will be off this coming week for training in Hong Kong at the now "dated" HK Flagship Boutique (just kidding guys).
Now --here's the issue. I've talked to IWC about a preview of the boutique and a dinner for all collectors attending the preview. However, it's difficult to plan without knowing the precise date. It's also complicated because the date might be last minute and the last week of March can be Spring vacation for schools in some parts of the US.
If you would be interested in coming to NYC, possible on short notice, for a preview and dinner at the end of March could you post below or e-mail me? I'd guess that the event might occur, if at all, on Friday the 30th or Saturday the 31st of March. You will need an advance invitation to attend.
Any other ideas on how to handle this, given the timing uncertainty, would be welcome.
