During this era Beyer appeared on the dial of many models. Hannes Panntli informed me during SIHH that during this era IWC would do anything to sell their watches. Beyer was a great client of IWC.
That was an interesting read, Heiko! However, now you've left me with puzzle: I do have a GC SL from 1974 with strap, not bracelet. Was it delivered with strap or was the bracelet changed later? I'm not sure if I ever find the answer, but if I will, I will share it.

Thanks again,

Well, it could be this reason for using SL dials for the ref. 1829.
Only a very low amount ref. 1830 have been sold, but much more ref. 1829.
Only my opinion ! At that turbulent time, already produced "SL" dials could have been used for the ref. 1829 as well. But this has no confirmation yet.

I think it is funny, as the same watch gets an other Ref and dial just adding a steel braclet to it ...
I have to check, if this was common at IWC in the 60's/70's

There is no time in the now it's time for a watch.
Well, I invested some time to clarify this topic:
Club-SL-1
Club-SL-2
Club-SL-3

Thanks!
There is a confusing summary:
3 SL marked: Ref 3003 black, 1829 silver, 4410 silver
1 without SL: Ref 4409 black
None of the Golf Clubs are marked on the back by Laser.
No more comments on it, too complicated....
