Aloha all!
There was such a great response to my last contest in October (http://www.iwc.com/forum/en/discussion/31695/?page=1) that I’ve decided to run another one - it's a photo contest and you can only use a cell phone camera.
Contest Rules:
1. The theme of this contest is “Show Us Your IWC Watch." Here is a sample iPhone picture and caption:
Big Pilots 5003, 5004, and 5026 ----- Honolulu, Hawaii
2. IMPORTANT: All pictures MUST be taken with a cell phone camera. The reason for the cell phone camera-only rule is to give everyone an equal chance of winning!
3. IMPORTANT: No photo-editing is permitted; however, photos may be cropped. Once again, the reason for the no-Photoshop rule is to give everyone an equal chance at winning!
4. The contest will run for the entire month of April and you can enter a maximum of ten (10) pictures.
5. The contest will start on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 00:01 (Schaffhausen time) and will end on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 23:59 (Schaffhausen time).
6. There will be two winners - the best picture and the other by random drawing. EACH winner will receive IWC’s spectacular 600 page book “Engineering Time Since 1868" mailed to them anywhere in the world free of charge. Here is a link to Revolution watch magazine's review of the book:
7. Selecting The Best Picture: Forum Member Joseph White from the Boston, Massachusetts area has generously volunteered to be the judge and will select the best picture winner. Joe is an accomplished photographer and has posted his beautiful photographs on the Forum for years. Joe has also exhibited his photographs in galleries and shows in the Boston area. I’m anticipating a lot of entries so I’m very thankful to Joe for stepping up to the plate and volunteering to help out!
8. Selecting The Random Drawing Winner: I will make the random selection using the RANDOM.ORG “randomizer” and each picture that you submit will constitute a separate entry. In other words, if you enter one picture you have one chance of winning but if you enter ten pictures you have ten chances of winning. You can enter ten of your pictures at one time in a single post or you can enter ten of your pictures in separate posts or any combination thereof. Once again, each picture constitutes one entry.
9. I reserve the right to revise the rules if necessary.
10. Everyone has an equal chance of winning two really great prizes so don’t be shy about entering even if it’s your first post here on the Forum!

The best picture prize went to PPGRIG of Lausanne, Switzerland.
The random drawing prize went to MA ELKO of Washington, D.C. USA
The April 2012 Contest was a great success with over 240 posts and 19,000 views!
Thanks to everyone who participated and a special thanks to Joe White from the Boston, Massachusetts, USA area for judging the contest.

My camera phone is rubbish and my iPad is first gen. I'll join Bill and the other Luddites back in the cave. PS Kodak discontinuing all slide film for real camera users.

Oh no!
My contest isn't doing very well. So far around 25% of the posts are from people telling everyone that they're not going to participate! (LOL)
I hope this isn't a trend and things pick up a bit...

Aloha Andrew -
You read my mind (LOL) - I didn't want to post this on April 1 since people might think it was a joke.
I'm at home in Honolulu - on the other side of the world from Schaffhausen - 12 hours time difference.
