after successive rainy weekdays, which thankfully didn't affect Friday's gtg with a few well known forummers, Hong Kong is seeking some nice sun on Saturday and Sunday, allowing me to wear this particular one, with new 'shoes' - not the colour I wanted, so I am still deciding whether to keep or return it :)

Shing - I share your concern with the strap color, I think that would look better on something blue.
I humbly agree. Shing, stop thinking about returning the strap. Start thinking of which blue IWC's to get in order to match that blue strap of yours. :-)

Shing,
Your heart tells you that strap is not up to the "Shing Approval" standard. Return it and stay with the OEM which I believe is the soft black nylon w/gray contrast stitching. IWC got it right...

There is something surprising here. I thought that, like with black, any colour could go with grey. Not so, in my opinion this blue-like strap makes the grey dial dull, even a bit brownish grey, which in my opinion is not so nice. However, this strap may go very well with a black dial, or would even this secure bet prove to be wrong? Maybe you can try that on a black dial watch, if you have one at the right size available: would love to see it, in my minds eye that would look quite great.
Kind regards, Paul

gentlemen, thanks for your input. have indeed just told my strap maker I need to get this exchanged for the colour that I originally chosen.
@ Andy - alas, the nylon ballistic original strap that came with the watches is just not me - it is alligator (and a far joint 2nd croco and calf) for yours truly I am afraid. as u might also told from the second pic, I also really really dig very thick straps for my pilots :)
ok - fingers crossed. looking very much forward to the Patrouille Suisse getting a proper grey strap :)
