Yes the signature A has not survived. There are 6 A's on the dial though. 6 on the back and 1 on the crown.

He was a man that was not liked by De Gaulle nor Vichy Govt so why is he so referred to warrant such a large collection of LE models? Is there some charity like Laureues that is a beneficiary of these LEs?

I was thinking that I owned the nicest St. Ex Chrono (with a very small and inconspicuous "A"), but now I'm thinking it is the only second best looking St. Ex Chrono.
