No major accompanying narrative this time …. if you’ve followed these posts of mine before, you’ll know I have been after a piece in a particular collection for a while ….:)
still puzzled as to what ‘Spiegelei’ means ? search for ‘Spiegelei’ or ‘fried egg’ and you will find your answer. Tonny’s great post here is pretty enlightening too !

the Archives also contain quite a few posts comparing what most would make a better ‘vintage grail’ - the Jubilee Portugeiser or the ref 5251 ? decide for yourself :) (you can search 'jubilee 5251' to see these posts, using the search function)
so that’s my reveal. hope it was fun for you too - thanks for reading :)

Shing - what a beauty. I also had the pleasure of trying on Ralph's gorgeous piece at SIHH this year, that is surely one of the most beautiful pieces out there.
I'll say it again, your 2011 was an awesome IWC year - now 2012 is looking to become even better. Can't wait to hear all about it the next time we get a chance to hook up.
Well deserved my friend - enjoy it as I know you will :-)

so when this recently came on for auction online, I tried for it and with a little help from Larry S, secured it. Thank You Larry !

Congrats Shing, sometimes big is better.
A matter of taste although I would never trade a savonette for a lepine.
