Shing. Top congratulations on the latest addition to your collection. Normally we have one grail watch in a lifetime - but you have one grail watch - for each wrist and likely your ankles too ;-)
One day I will get back to ask you which of your grails is top of the class.
Congratulations and the Santoni additions are spectacular.

I knew that you had bought one, just knew it. Congratulations and yes I'm green with envy. I wonder why they did the VC at 12 & 6? A tweaked case and a tweaked movement just to illustrate that it was the second generation version and it would be a popular reincarnation of the original.

Shing... so delighted for you! Great watch for a great guy (even though we have yet to meet in person). I look forward to reading your suggested links and learning more about this important piece. Enjoy and do wear in excellent health.

Moving the crown 45 degrees left (a Savonette to Lepine conversion) would be necessary to avoid the 12/6 configuration. That's major surgery, which is doable but I would think hugely increases cost.

I think Andrew hit the nail. Congratulations to your new grail my friend! I really hope you will warm up to the world of RG/YG and I am quite sure you do now.
Kind regards,
Clemens
