Although there might be a few more topics to discuss on our Forum, it is my sincere opinion that the time to stop this weekly contribution has come. The moment to decide this could not be better chosen, I believe. Where the interest for IWC pocket watches was declining, we now see the opposite. The team could never have dreamed that IWC Pocket watches could raise so much interest on our Forum. The responses were overwhelming and encouraging. On top of that we can see that besides our posts, the topic "Pallweber" has resulted in 93 comments sofar and the "Elgin" topic in 27, respectively. 120 posts on IWC p.w.'s! We are not claiming that this result is caused by our posts. But there might be a coincidence..perhaps. What is even more striking and cheerful is to see that the very few real experts on IWC pocket watches, read the posts on our Forum and have decided to participate. I am talking about Hans-Georg Aberle, Rolf Birkenkämper and Ralph Ehrismann. These collectors have the basic knowlege on the IWC Pocket Watch History. Hopefully they will continue to present their expertise. And how great is it to see that David Seyffer the IWC museum curator is sharing his research in the archives with us. Thank you for all support, comments and questions. On behave of the team, Kind regards, H-G Aberle, R. Birkenkämper, T.Koenig, A v d Meijden, (alwaysiwc)

Your contribution to teaching we neophytes is truly appreciated. It is sad to see this series conclude, but I am certain we will have even more great posts from you and your compatriots. Thanks for taking us along.

Thank you all very much for sharing your knowledge with us here. I hope to one day add a IWC pocket watch to my collection and your articles will be a very welcome source for information!
I hope you will stick around to help answering questions here at the forum. Let's make sure all this knowledge you have is saved for the generations to come!
Thank you for all your fine and interesting contributions. I can understand the series ending, but I hope your contributions will continue. I have appreciated them.

I have read your posts with great interest and will miss them even if my comments were minimal. Not being a PW collector has not stopped the enjoyment and the resultant educational articles.

Gents (of the Nostalgia for IWC Pocket Watch Series),
Let it be said - we all, truly appreciated the series and as always learnt so much from your posts. Indeed there is nothing like spreading the knowledge around to raise interests - and it's been great to have seen the pickup on the Pocket Watch threads.
We thank you.
..and please do not go too far away! You all know we miss you guys when your off the forum.

Sorry to see this excellent series come to an end. The insight and education extended through the medium of this forum has allowed this information to live on in perpetuity, educating many others in the present and future.
Many thanks, and may this forum continue to be that conduit to discuss, research and educate watches past and present too.

Oftentimes the lack of my knowledge on a subject prohibits my participation in a discussion. But I must say that I have kept up with this series and have profited by the interplay among collectors. As to the pocket watches, they are the genesis of our interest in IWC wristwatches and to that extent, for the non collector, this is still valuable information. Hope you will see fit to throw some tidbits our way every so often.
