I have been looking into buying a new sporty/casual watch and I am struggling to find how the IWC Big Ingenieur (metal bracelet) fits on the wrist. I am a little concerned with the 45.5mm size and I had the opportunity to try on an older Omega 45mm Planet Ocean with their 2500 movement and I don't know if the IWC fits larger or about the same. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can elaborate on the fit of this watch and their adivice/opinion. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have also been looking at the Mission Earth and I am wondering if the Mission Earth or the Big Ingenieur is a more desirable watch. I totally understand that is a personal choice however I didn't know if one of more popular than the other or if one of more pleasing to the eye. Thanks!

I have two 45 mm watches and several 44 mm watches. They all wear very well on my 17 cm wrist. It partly depends on the weight of the watch, both Ingenieurs are quite heavy when compared to my watches. Also, a flatter watch tends to wear more comfortable. But others here like their Mission Earth or their smaller previous Automatic, the 3227, despite or rather because of the weight.
The Mission Earth will be the more popular when compared to the Big Inge: I haven't seen many Big Inges here, at least. As you look for a sporty watch, my guess is the Mission Earth is the better choice because of the movement: the 80110 of the Mission Earth is probably the more sturdy one when compared to the 51113 of the Big Inge, which is similar to the movement the Big Pilot has. But the 51113 may be considered the more classy movement, making the watch more expensive too. I would take the watch that looks the most attractive to you, unless you perform very sporty actions with your watch, in which case I would take the Mission Earth.
I hope this all helps a bit.
Kind regards, Paul
