In March, i purchased a 3714-17 when i was traveling in TW. It was my first IWC and it was on my most wanted list for the longest time.
I am a TAG fan and have collected more than 5 TAGs before transitioning to IWC.
When i was at the AD, i got a glimpse of the 5001 that was on display. Because i always wanted a chrono, i ended up purchasing that piece. What a costly mistake that was. Everyday after that i was in agony thinking about the 5001. Finally when i return to US from my trip, i made a decision to sell the 3714 and asked my friend to purchase the 5001 so i could pick it up when i return to TW.
Some might think this was the worst decision anyone could've made but i did it anyways. After 6 weeks of waiting and looking at pictures from the forum, i finally wore my very own 5001 yesterday. I am very happy with the 5001 and yes it was and still is love at first sight. Enough with the talking and on to the pictures. Glad i finally joined you guys and beginning my quest of collecting IWC!

Thank you for the congrats! Actually all of your pictures were what i've been obsessing with while waiting for my 5001. You could say i've been a long time reader and first time poster.

Excellent choice, congratulations. 5001 was a reason that brought me to IWC and to this fantastic forum. I love this watch. Given your nickname you must have a good taste in music as well - Big Poppa ?

The gold numbers is my favorite color combination, one of my top 5 watches Ive wanted for so long. Excellent choice, enjoy it! It's one of the cleanest/sharpest looking watches out there in my opinion.
