Have a problem with my 2.5 years old Portugese Perpetual Calender (Reference 502306) power reserve. Could not wind it beyond the 3 days mark. Sent it in to Richemont Singapore service centre yesterday and was quoted an exhorbitant SGD1,270 for servicing! An evaluation suggested that the time movement was also faster. Watch technician also remarked that the watch case, hour & min hand and buckle (all in 18ct rosegold) had discoloration. How can this be when the watch is still relatively new and I had bought it from an authorised IWC retailer and reputable watch retailer (Sincere Watch)in Singapore??
I wish you well in getting your issues resolved, but in general individual complaints aren't forum topics. We can't diagnose what caused problems or their extent electronically. We can't tell if a movement problem was caused by a shock, setting at an incorrect hour or what; in general, mechanical problems don't occur by spontaneous combustion.
I'm not implying there was any user misuse, but rather that we can't evaluate the situation. That's particularly the case for a metal discoloration, which is atypical.
Sincere is a good retailer and hopefully can help you in person. Good luck.
