Hi, am new owner of Da Vinci Perpetual Cal Chrono. I need to move the dates forward (every now & then since I dun have a winder) on my watch when switching between watches. And today...I accidentally adjusted the date when hour hand between 11 & 1 and ended up with Date hand out of sync.
Would like to know if there is any way to adjust it besides sending watch to IWC for reset? And how much does IWC charge for a reset of the calendar?

Not sure I know how much IWC charges to reset the calendar. But maybe you should let it run down and try resetting manually.

As you noted, quick-setting the date forward when the watch is reading between 10pm and 2am is not recommended, because the calendar functions are engaged to advance near midnight - any force applied by you turning the date quick set may cause this issue.
When I have a perpetual calendar that needs to be advanced - I first pull the crown all the way out to time setting mode and advance the time forward, past midnight, until I see all the calendar functions advance - because if I had not worn the watch in several days, I dont know whether the watch is reading an AM or PM time.
I usually advance the time so I am sure it reads 6:00am or 7:00am. Then, if I have to advance it a few more days - I will push the crown in to date-set mode until I get to the current date, then I will pull the crown out and set to the current time, then wind it up and wear it...
I recently had a similar issue - even though I have several IWC perpetuals, and for several years of experience - I made a similar mistake with a Portuguese Perpetual Calendar. Cost about $300 to correct, took about 4 weeks. The DaVinci may not be as expensive to service, but $300 may be a descent guide, give or take.
Like Larry said. You may just want to leave the watch alone, and let it run out of power for the next day...hopefully, it may snap back into synch on its own after midnight. I had that happen once on another IWC Perpetual....
Hope you don't have an issue that will result in sending your watch in for 4-8 weeks.....

Thankyou so much for the replies. Great advice, and will try let the watch power run down to see if calendar goes back in sync (now the Date is 1 day behind the Day).

Hi, just a quick thought. Basically what happend was I adjusted the quick-set calendar at 11:30pm, the Day moved 1 day forward, the Date unchanged. By same analogy, could I then deliberately adjust the quick-set calendar at 11:30pm and move the Day forward (with Date unchanged) so that they come in sync again? Anyone think that might work?

I would strongly advise against that idea. There are more components involved than jus the date, like the moon and month indicators. You risk much more damage.

Let us know how it goes.
