Maybe you are disappointed by the title of this discussion.
I don't want to know, if this watch is really an IWC watch... I also don't want to know what it worth, to sell it on ebay... I don't want to show you "my new aquisition" to take part of the member of a REF xxy-Club I don't want to sell it...(I'd ask then if some on would like to have it ;-) )
I just want to share an image of a non IWC-watch here:
(Any resemblance to IWC-watches, new or vintage, is purely coincidental and unintentional)
If someone think this post is not friendly, then I am sorry to attack your feelings.

Indeed Ralph, one would think my mother taught me better than to argue with the Professionals....but in this case I would respectively argue that behind that "non IWC" dial hides a very smart looking, and well finished IWC Cal. 97 :~)

Indeed , I believe that this is a "scholar" watch, used to practise on. It has an IWC caliber but if my memory serves me well, without a serial number, or a different numbering. Nice to see something like this pop up in the forum, thanks Ralph.

No way I am disappointed either from the watch or the title :-). But I am quite sure if you open the back you'll find an engraved name of the watchmaker (scholar/master) on the movement 'cal.97' - and a Probus stamp on the inner side of the back. Congratulations.

...and here's mine.
I apologize for the bad quality of the picture here. I really need to get some high res macro shots done. The quality of the finishing on the movement is absolutely superb!

Dear All,
I told this is not an IWC, you tell me this is an IWC.
This is something to discuss:
When an ETA 2892-2 movement becomes, due to small modifications and a brand engraving, an IWC (c.375x) movement, what happens when an IWC Ebauche (base movement) is slightly modified and differently marked, does it remains an IWC-movement.
I know this was a c.97 ebauche, but is it still an IWC match/movement ?
There is no time in the now it's time for a watch.
