Excellent choice! ...now please go consider carefully exactly what nice gift you will come home with for the Wife. After all, she too is deserving, and we do want you to be taking lot's of photos and wrist shots.
So we (like you) don't want her to be upset every time you take out the watch to photograph it :~)

Many congratulations. I've enjoyed my 5022-18 for nearly 7 years now and it still is a pleasurable, new experience each time I wear it. Wear yours in good health.

You will receive a red instruction leaflet (which must be read carefully), warranty booklet, warranty card, and instruction booklet... and of course a very nice watch :) its larger younger ardoise brother says Hi !
Congratulations. The PPC is essential kit and I am sure your partner will understand that. Shing referred to the red instruction manual. Men don't read manuals until they have owned the item for at least 3 months. Fact. There are two manuals that men should always read first: the manual for a chain saw and the manual for an IWC perpetual calendar. Failure to observe basic rules can be awkward. Very awkward.

Dear All, Some pictures of the new watch!! After getting the handbag a week before for my wife,it was easier to turn up and tell her that I have a new watch, she knew I wanted it...and I convinced the AD to provide me a complimentary black strap.I can not get enough of the watch and I feel a bit embarassed when people are checking my wrist to find out what am wearing...anyway you do not see someone wear an IWC PPC everyday. I am wondering what to do with the other watches as am very unlikely to wear them again....just a thought.Best regards for the festive seasons.

Samito. Very nice watch. I'm so sorry to see your moon phase problem. It seems that it is displaying 24-DEC-2012, but the moon phase display seems to be showing the moon around the date 6-DEC. There is no way to adjust this yourself, all of the calendar functions and displays are synchronized and advance together - however, something must have gone wrong at some point.
After the holidays, you need to visit your Authorized IWC dealer and have the watch sent in to IWC to have the adjustment made. This will be covered under warranty service (I assume). Be sure NEVER to attempt to adjust the date backwards, or during the hours of 10:00pm and 2:00am (9-3 if you want to be very careful). Those two tips can avoid taking the displays out of synch...
Your watch is beautiful - I hope this does not disappoint you too much...

Hello All, Well 6 weeks since I have the watch and 5 weeks it has been with the Authorised Dealer. They never call to update me on what is happening with the service. In reality, they have sold me something faulty.I wonder if I should hold to the watch if being new means I cannot wear it before (probably) end of February. It seems that only ONE person in Switzerland CAN service the watch. If you are thinking of buying from the airport in London or a certain AD in Regent Street, think again.Feel very let down.

Hello All,
The update from the AD is that the date mechanism is blocked and hence requires maintenance.Furthermore the calendar is misaligned and is NOT covered under the guarantee, therefore a charge to repair the watch. IT seems that the watch was not sold to me in good faith, feel very disappointed. Requested full refund.
So we (like you) don't want her to be upset every time you take out the watch to photograph it :~)
Best regards
Mark

That reverse psychology stuff won't work on my wife. She would just tell me ...great, then she can buy it for you !!

Need a little technical help from the forum. My watch is currently showing the moonphase as below:
http://s1300.beta.photobucket.com/user/samito2/media/image_zps0773ac69.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0
However,I understand that it should be as per the one in the Patek website;
http://www.patek.com/contents/default/en/MoonphaseIndicatorSetting.html
I have been unable to find anywhere on my instructions manual how to fix this.Appreciate all your help and comments.
Many thanks.
