That's just wonderful! I have been looking at the live coverage this afternoon. Azzam (the IWC sponsored entry) also won the inport race yesterday, let's hope they can score a few more points and move up on the leaderboard!

That's true, so things only can get better I hope :-)
I do love the way the Race can be followed now though, the iPad and iPhone apps are great & media coverage on the site is top notch. It takes the race to a level where it's very exiting to follow as a sailing fan.
As I understand, in the early editions, updates were about once a month in printed sailing magazines only!

Marvellous shot, Tony! Obviously no shallow waters in front of your balcony ;). As a sailing fan I love the race and follow it from the beginning. Due to the Greek mythology the dolphin should guide them during the atlantic passage and a (Swiss?) tug will be ready for assistance at Lisbon harbor.

Atlantic Ocean, 28 May 2012: A resurgent Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing – the Abu Dhabi-backed entry in the nine-month Volvo Ocean Race – has powered to the 3,590 nautical mile trans-Atlantic Leg 7 lead, after a number of deft tactical decisions saw the team outmanoeuvre the five-strong chasing pack.
Having set off in style from Miami, USA last weekend, the fleet sailed straight into the Gulf Stream and a tropical depression, before being forced to head north to dodge a high pressure system blocking the direct path towards Lisbon. In a leg of two distinct halves, it was Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing which attained maximum gain.
