Just picked up the IWC Aquatimer Chrono Rose Gold today. Please pardon the quick iPhone pictures:
It joins its all-rubber brother - the Aquatimer Chrono Galapagos Edition, which I have for 2+ years:
The two watches are so similar, yet so different at the same time. The Aquatimer name, bezel design, case size and water resistance rating are the same, but the dial, movement, material and case back are completely different between the two watches.
Putting the two watches side by side gives me the opportunity to compare how well did the IWC rubber fare in the last two years.
I use Lexol Vinylex to clean the Galapgos and its strap about 2-3 times a year. This is to keep the rubber soft and moist, and prevent it from cracking.
If you look closely, you can see the virgin rubber strap on the rose gold chrono looks matt and rough. It will pick up sweat stains in no time. On the Galapagos, Lexol Vinylex has cleaned the rough surface, giving the old strap a tiny little shine (compare to the unworn strap) when bouncing the light off at an angle. Other than that, the old strap looks the same as the new one.
Here's the obligatory wrist shot. I just love the rose gold & rubber combination.
And the rest of the collection:
Sorry about the clear plastic wrap, that's how I store my watches when not wearing them.

I concur with Dick, Clemens and Alan - that red gold case is a beautiful match to the black rubber and red details - a very cool sport watch!
