After a couple of false starts I decided that this was something I wanted to add to the stable.
Having seen it first in person in HK over Easter when it suddenly appeared in front of me while viewing the 2012 collection (this picture immediately below is that moment, the first time the Pure Classic was on my wrist) it was the first thing I asked for when visiting the NYC Boutique on the evening that this forum's members were welcomed after hours.
Unfortunately for me, and as many of you may now know, the piece I got to see that night was already spoken for by our esteemed moderator. In hindsight, I am grateful that this was the case as it gave me further opportunity to think about the potential purchase and whether or not this was something I really wished to pursue.
It was, and so a few weeks ago I made the commitment. And here it is, on my wrist again.

Pure beauty - absolutely classic.
I took a har look at it in the NYC Boutique just before MF revealed - and liked it then. You too fell for it's classic lines and you wont be disappointed with this watch.

It has a solid back with an engraving. A sextant, I believe...
