Fabian Cancellara may be not typically known to IWC collectors, but he is one of the world top cyclists wearing an IWC watch. Fabian is a typical Swiss sportsman, being on the front page of sports magazines only because of his achievements in sports : cycling, but typically not by his lifestyle, being a modest man. Fabian Cancellara is a muscle machine, hardly to beat in a cycling course where power, endurance and extremely bad wheather conditions are around. Until now he is not considered to be a Tour de France winner as this 80+ kilo athlete is considered to have difficulties to bear his weight over high mountains in the Alpes and in the Pyrenées. In such area the 50-60 kilo cyclists have an advantage. But in every other European contest sofar, few exist where Fabian did not win. Fabian Cancelarra was injured badly during a cycling contest in France ( Paris-Roubaix)early this year. But as expected, he is back, representing the typical Swiss attitude towards life: "talk to me when I have finished" Kind regards, Adrian.

..And so he did today, winning the first contest of the Tour de France in Liège, Belgium! He is now wearing the yellow jersey as the reward to be number 1. Kind regards, Adrian, (alwaysiwc).
What a poser........Good luck in the Tour de France starting tomorrow.
