Purchased what will most likely be the first of many IWC's yesterday. Beautiful portofino automatic 356307 with tan alligator deployment clasp. Timing was perfect as days before my dad got his hands on the new portofino automatic 356505 (actually swapped the milanese mesh for the tan alligator tang)
Looking forward to being a proud owner of a classy and timeless watch for years to come!

Congratulations on your first IWC! Enjoy and wear it in good health. Nice to see your dad had a Portofino too, it would be nice to see a shot of both side by side to compare.
Its great to hear a story like this! That's part of what makes IWC so special...
Welcome!

Jeronimo

Greetings and a warm welcome Rosscof to the IWC forum. It's a fabulous feeling when both father and son have the same passion for fine watches, but to share the same brand is a little more unique.
Congratulations and enjoy in wearing your watch in good health.
