Thanks Cellar. Very helpful. I was sure it was glue, having examined some residue on the sides of the newly installed/replaced sapphire crystal. Subtle, but there is visible residue on parts of the circumference after the complete service.

An excellent watch. I've worn one as an everyday watch for a decade now. You will not be disappointed even with a different crown. Check the authenticity though and attain all info from papers, preferably original.

I realized that the original bracelet comes with wavy design on the link of the bracelet. The one that I am currently considering does not have any but it has two servicing paper from IWC. Wondering why is that so?
Is it just press fitted with a die instrument on top of the compression ring with gaskets? Or Is there specialty crystal epoxy, glue or cement used?
Can anyone at IWC or a watchmaker/repairer kindly elucidate?
I've always been amazed by the GST Aquatimer's case engineering.
