I am currently considering to buy 3536-03 and wondering is this a good buy? What is the pro & con?
Does it matter if the crown has been change to the new type, without the fish logo?
Does anyone know how many links are there for a standard stainless steel bracelet?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Fleekk, It's a fantasticaly designed and robust diver's watch. Instantly recognisable as an original IWC design. My wife,a keen diver, has a 3536-02.
The Fish crown is the Only crown available, unlike some other models, the design has not changed . The bracelet has 18 full links and 1 link which is 1.5 links long.(see image) The links are grained with the central part polished. The underside is completly grained. The clasp originally had circular graining(spotting) decoration but some may be matt or straight grained if changed later.

Thanks for the information, it has been a great help.
I guess the one that I am considering has the fish crown been change after the servicing by iwc. The only strange issue is why is the clasp change to Matt as I think the original clasp should be circular graining.
Btw, is the clasp with circular graining on both side or only on the outer side?

I have no idea why the different clasps are fitted but have come across both versions. I would love to see a photo of your crown as I was almost 100% sure the fish version was the only type produced for the 3536.

The circular graining is only on the outermost sides of the clasp lamellas, as in Kristoffer_J's fantastic photos. The inside of the lamellas is straight grained. New watches all had circular grained clasps. Those wiithout circular graining have been fitted later in the life of the watch. Leo

Interesting point on the different clasp design, do you mean when it is available at brand new, there are 2 type?
How about the circular graining design, do you know is it on both side of the clasp?
