On a warm August Saturday, Mrs E and I set off for the beach.
We passed one or two landmarks:
I decided that a blue dial Yacht-Club with an oyster bracelet would be the appropriate watch in the hope that the blue dial might encourage blue skies.
In fact the clouds did give way to blue skies.
This particular beach is a long way from the sea.
Nearby Big Ben was keeping good time.
We had tickets for the first beach volleyball session of the day.
Dressed for the occasion:
The warm up acts
Chinese women beat the Russian pair.
Time for some action from the men. Brazil beats Germany in two straight sets.
A fun day out. If only the other events could be taken so seriously.

Looks like a great venue!!! I've been watching all the broadcasts of beach volleyball matches and would love to see one in person. Thanks for taking us along. BTW...nice IWC kit!
Best regards, Jim

I do not know how you felt, but I think it is totally inappropriate and against the Olympic spirit for the women of the beach volleyball teams to be so scantily clad. Please post additional images so I can formulate a more substantiated opinion.:-)

I've never before seen the beach volleyball warmup act. Their uniforms cover more than those of the athletes. Quite different from American football.
Congrats on getting to the Olympics -- a great experience.
Best regards,

David
