Like the title says, have had my Portuguese handwound for about 8 months now (purchased new from local AD) and winding it in the morning has become very difficult.
Anybody else have this issue?
Planning to bring it in for the seller to have a look, but wanted to see if anyone has any advice.
Before anyone asks, I wind it everyday at the same time in the morning, careful to go only till I start to feel some resistance, per the manual.
It's hard to diagnose this electronically, but often a little added lubrication to the stem solves the problem. Sometimes a bit of debris clogs the mechanism, but it can be something else. In all events it should be easily solvable under warranty,

I have several handwound IWC including a Ref 5454 (if you you are referring to the same). This watch has been with me for more than two years and I have never faced this problem. As advised by Michael its best that you take it to a authorized service centre/dealer.
