Once in a while I glance at a site called Gear Patrol. Today I noticed that earlier this week they posted a nice review of the BPPCTG. Here's a link. Big Pilot Perpetual Top Gun Review.

Judging by the comments that are made I think he's been lurking on the forum! The likes, the reservations have all been made here before. I tried a "plain old" 5004 and it just didn't gel with me but I will happily give a good home to a Portuguese perpetual either plat or RG silver dial please.

Somehow I missed this post when it came out but I'm glad I found it. Very nice review and stunning pictures of this very special Big Pilot! Thanks Adam, it was a pleasure to read!

Ah, so you guys found that one, eh? I guess I can't hide after all. ;-)
But seriously, thank you for all the kind words, gentlemen. This is a watch that inspires one to share its magnificence with the world, and far be it from me to deny it its due. Yes, it's a big mamajama, but that hasn't stopped me from using it as a daily wearer; after a bit just it settles in on the wrist, and thanks to its ceramic/titanium construction, it wears lighter, if not smaller, than one might think.
All-in-all, I couldn't be happier with this beast. Thank you IWC!

Thanks for the link. I like the reviewer's point of view. It takes all of the great IWC pilot hallmarks and puts it in one big package.
