I have not worn this watch in a long time - maybe twice since April. After wearing others more routinely like the CFI, or DaVinci Perpetual - this 5022 seems so much smaller. Funny, considering my friend Larry once called it a "tuna can" because of its relative size to others and case height to diameter ratio.
Don't get me wrong. Love the watch. It has a certain dial color I am fond of - just that it needs to have the calendar corrected after having observed "April 31st" earlier this year. So the day/date gets out of synch. (today should be FRI the 7th - not SAT). It had just returned from service after observing NOV 31st 2011. The calendar issue tainted my enjoyment enough that I just kept it in the safe, only winding it a few times over the summer - so I will be in SoCal next week and drop it off at my AD. Giving it a little wrist time before letting old "Doisey" go for a couple months...(background is almond croissant).

Still a mighty fine looking piece. I have the same size reaction every time I try it on after my ME and BP. Mind you, I think I could get over it to own that one.

That's a great looking watch Ardoise, too bad you have so much bad luck with the calendar module. I hope they get it fixed quickly so you can add the watch back in the rotation schedule!

Each spring I have the same thinking, apparently my summer shirts shrink while hanging in the closet during winter ;) When I had my Portugese ( 5001 and PPC ) at first they seemed huge, but now, after wearing something like the BP or the CFI, they seem light and elegant ( what they are ).

Snapped a couple of shots today of my PPC, acquired a few years ago after seeing yours. I met a some collectors yesterday (I hope one of them will post a picture in due course) and I gave the PPC an outing. It is still a magnificent watch.
