Hi all! My first post as I just got my first IWC (Pilot IW377701). :)
It is a 3777 and the chronograph hand is moving in a very jerky way. I found a video that shows the same problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tib95sbYFo (not my watch, but the same problem).
Should I send it for service or this is an expected behavior of the movement? Precision is not affected.
I have a Navtimer and a Chopard (both eta/valjoux)and the hand ticks constantly without these small stops.

Great but this is an IWC FORUM, So the question about the seconds hand for the chrono function of your Steinhart is Asked at the wrong forum in my honest opinion.. But as you stated: It's not a defect and it keeps time perfectly. So why bother. Cheers BAS DEKKERS

Hi Tgava, This is not normal. Your second recording hand should smoothly travel at a rate of 4hz(4 beats per second). The chrono wheel friction spring needs to be adjusted. This should be done under your sales guarantee by an IWC service center. Leo

TGava, your question is an appropriate one, and as moderator I apologize for any intemperate replies. We can't diagnose your issue electronically, so bring you watch back to the dealer for evaluation. It sounds like Leosweeneypod, an IWC watchmaker, correct.
Good luck, and sorry you have this issue. It should be an easy fix.

Thank you Michael and Leosweeneypod for the reply. I have a few watches from Rolex, Omega, Breitling and others, but IWC always was my "dream brand". Now, here in Brazil, Cartier has official boutiques for IWC and a few others from the group. Yes, it is a bit sad... but will look at this as a opportunity to evaluate the support from IWC. :) This great forum and community is a plus.
Will bring the watch back to the boutique tomorrow... Another great opportunity to play with the Miramars... ;)

This looks to be the same as my 3717, so I do not believe you have anything to be concerned about. I'm not wearing the watch at the moment. If I check my watch and it does appear to differ, I will post back.

I'm from Brazil and now we have an official boutique here. No more abusive prices, so I got my first one. ;)
