I was like a kid at Disneyland for the first time - a lot of it is a blur. :)
Not surprisingly, Shing's source is correct. There is a carbon fiber dial. And the watch is big. I absolutely couldn't wear it. I don't know if the diameter is so large but the case shape makes it wear big. Nad can likely add more details.
Thanks, David! I'm already building a better picture of it in my mind.

IWC's link with Mercedes F1 is effective Jan 2013, so production should be in full swing by now. Lewis Hamilton is contracted to wear another brand until the end of the season. It will be nice to see IWC linked with a British F1 team with a limited edition to celebrate. I hope the number produced is not based on the number of Mercedes victories in 2012. If that is the case, the run would be extremely limited.

Ralph now the pensioner driver has decided to retire maybe race results will be different! Seriously though with the way IWC is dropping dealers in the UK and with Lewis being popular in the UK in some people's opinion, it will be a struggle to get the model here I should imagine. Many miles will have to be travelled for some. All seems a bit short sighted not supporting existing ADs at the expense of emerging markets when demand outstrips supply. When supply exceeds demand are those dealers going to be ADs again?

Well, it looks very much like the normal steel Mission Earth on a bracelet to me, judging by the picture shown, and the picture shown in the Collection department of this site. Nice enough, but if wanting to buy an Ingenieur, I would sit it out, waiting for the new collection to be presented in January 2013.
Kind regards, Paul

That would be amazing.
