The best bracelet IWC ever made in my opinion is the titanium version on the GST perpetual.
Thanks Alan - I've tried that bracelet - it's just me, I feel better with the smaller links - and even then not by too much ! The Yacht Club II ref 3212's is quite acceptable thus far - before I start on my custom strap for it that is.
@Greg - just never been a bracelet guy - not sure why ! the ref 3227 Ingenieur and the Deep One has been put off for so long for precisely this reason - the Ingenieur I feel look its best on bracelet. The Deep One's bracelets is the same one as the GST perpetual, so I'm not really warming up to that yet.
ON another note - the Deep One did come with a 'custom made/special order from Schaffhausen' strap. I had the opportunity to try it recently. I am told these had to be ordered from Schaffhausen at that time, and can no longer be so - I had HK Flagship check that out and this was what I was told.

Congratulations Shing and thank you very much for the story and history of the watch. Just like the others I think the watch has found a great new home in your collection!

Hi Shing,
I almost didn't recognize your wrist with a bracelet on. The cuff looked like you....
Anyway, congrats on your new addition, nice P/U. Many cases during that era were sculpted in heavy metal designs, almost for lack of better words, chunky in nature.
I too have never been much of a bracelet guy, although I do have a couple for specific uses. IMO, bracelets on "heavy metal" case designs just emphasize the overall amount of metal on the wrist. Straps break up the look and allow the eye to focus on the main attraction. On smaller wrists, the too much metal look is even more enhanced.
Of course, this is my opinion and not intended to "diss" bracelets in any way. Bracelets serve a great purpose for many reasons from weather/element conditions to saving costs on strap replacement and of course they can be works of beauty.
Just thought I would chime in on the bracelet thing and again, great pick-up and thanks for sharing your new found treasure.
Best regards,

Jim
