Antonio, Big congrats for your purchase and the sale of your ref 325. The characters are a little confusing but I am sure those who were involved will know how to decipher the information.

Thank you for the wonderful story. I think I know who one or two of the anonymous members were but I have no certainty and won't start guessing :-)
If I would have to carry such a special piece for a Forum friend, I would be scared as hell that something happened to the watch. Knowing that these pieces are practically irreplaceable, makes it a job of great responsibility.
I am glad everything worked out, it's a wonderful story!

If this forum were still closed, as it used to be, there would be no need to protect names and places. The implicit trust we have in each other, and the willingness to run the risk of hancarrying and safekeeping a museum piece across the planet, for the pleasure of one single forum member, is remarkable. I know of no other forum where this would be possible. Thanks again to all involved.

Fantastic. I am very happy for you.
It has been a longtime coming indeed. There were several opportunities through the years but I either rejected the B-Uhr for whatever reason, or my offer was rejected by the seller. The first was many years ago, when IWC auctioned one for charity. I bid on that one, but little did I know I was bidding against Ralph Lauren.:-) I was not in hurry. Collecting vintage IWCs is a marathon and one must pace oneself and, as I mentioned before, the thrill is in the hunt. Possession is boring in comparison.
