My new Pilot
I've been trying to decide what my next IWC watch would be (joining my Big Pilot 5004) and I was fortunate to attend SIHH this year to see all of the new Pilots. I was particularly excited to see the new Spitfires and I was really quite excited about seeing the perpetual calendar version.
Off all of the new Pilots though, it was the Spitfire Chronograph that really caught my fancy and while I liked the PC, it didn't quite sing for me. So despite the beautiful dial on the chronograph, I hesitated and deferred making a decision for the moment.
Fast forward a couple of months to April 17th and a post from Michael showing the new Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition Antoine de Saint Exupéry in rose gold set my heart a flutter. The only hesitation I had was that I really prefer stainless steel for my every day, casually-styled watches. But then, just a couple of posts later, I read the confirmation of a stainless steel edition and my fate was set.
Several months later, the watch arrived this morning and I must say that it looks even better than I dared hope. Here are some pics that I took straight out of the box… I love everything about the watch.
So, it is my pleasure to present my Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition Antoine de Saint Exupéry, reference IW387806:
I just changed my guess to the St. Ex in your other thread and then I saw this. Congratulations! As one fortunate to have seen it in the metal, I can say it is a truly beautiful watch. Enjoy it in the best of health.

Can't stop staring at the dial
