Hi everyone!
My name is Cyriel Gaemers, and I'm doing a bit of research on my fathers watch. In the publication, "Die Uhren von IWC" on page 10- 1980: Die DIgitale IWC I was able to find the following information on the watch:
K14| 1583| Cuivre 1380
Could anyone here be able to tell me the approximate value of this watch?

Cyriel Hi
Your watch is a so called "Pallweber". Much is written about Pallwebers on the forum before (type I to III) - suggest to use the little magnifying glass on the top of the home page to search the forum.
Two things are nice to see here;
1) the original silver frame on the hour window is still in place - often they are missing 2) you have a Dutch / Flemish Dial (nice to see as a Dutch collector) and the dial is signed.

Hi Ralph,
Thanks for the fast reply and for the information! Another question then, to add to the list: If I were to sell this watch, which steps would I take? Are you, or do you know anyone who would be interested in this watch, by chance?

It could be a very early one where the dials where made mostly manual.
It is a type I or II. Also the serial number 1380 is an indication for this.
(cuiver is only = copper so the material of that cover is copper)
I think it could be a type I, We are looking since long time here in teh forum to see such a movement.
regards
Ralph

you are not allowed to solicit "for sale" or "wanted" on this forum. It is strictly for the discussion of IWC watches and non commercial
