I'm thinking that particular watch is uber cool. It's a definite grower and looks 10x better on the wrist. If you we're to only own one watch then I think it would take a bit of bottle for it to be that one. Maybe a good topic....... If you could only choose 1 piece, what would it be???

Hello Rave, here are the two together on my wrists ( someone had to help me with the pic LOL ). It is a special watch, not for everybodies style. I was told by the designer that the "shinyness" will wear off a bit to give it a more military style.

It's bugging me too !!
....forgive me IWC, but while I find the shiny case and dial layout/design interesting, I can't help but view this model as something of a "Fun" watch produced by Timex for Target Stores.
Please remember all, this is only my opinion as everyone has varied tastes.

At first I didn't like these watches too much, but after seeing some wrist shots I changed my opinion, certainly the chrono looks fantastic. Not for me, for various reasons, like I like the Spitfire more. The cheap watches mentioned here don't only look cheap and tacky, they are, so I don't spend my money on them, even if they are cheap. These Miramars are certainly not cheap, they look very well made, and they blend in very well in a certain kind of sporty attire. "Looking cheap and tacky": if you think so, don't buy, that would be silly. Miramars are flying out of the shops, I read somewhere, so IWC must be doing something right, hitting a nerve on taste.
Kind regards, Paul

I need to admit that the Miramar Chrono and BP also never left my thoughts since I put it on my wrist for the first time. They have a very special look and style. In fact I had the Miramar Chrono ordered at my AD, but finally I did not buy it as in the meanwhile I bought from him the 5032-32. However, I have the same doubts as some others here on the forum. Will I still like it in a few years from now?
Rave, whatever you do, you can't do it wrong. Listen to your gut feeling.

I too would vote for taking some more time to consider this one.
In the first instance to ensure you really do like this piece and not that it's simply a lust for something new and shiny (literally in this case) which we all know wears off in due time.
But more importantly I too would question how this piece looks in a few years time. (If your recovery value should you want to sell in 5 years is not that important to you then this point can be ignored).

Dale
