Hi,
I have this IWC watch that was my grandfathers and I am curious to know what model it is. All I know is that it was presented to him in 1979 by his employers for his long service.
The shape of the lugs makes me think it is a Ref 580AD or Ref 9392AD, the AD is for automatic/date. If it has an IWC bracelet it is likely to be the Ref 9392AD.
