Thank you Jeronimo. Would be nice to get nowadays a w.w.w. aka "Mk 10" for 17 GBP, even in the old English coinage. ;-)
Regards
Reminds me of the days (in the 60's) when you could buy most major brands "military" issue watches for £12.50 from Exchange and Mart here in the UK. However cannot remember whether or not IWC was one of them.

Dear All,
As promised, here you go, two pictures... sorry for the bad quality... I'll take some more time this weekend to make some proper pictures (these ones where done with my I-pad in the middle of the night).
As you can see the WWW Mark X is fully restored (you can recognize the typical 7 of a factory restoration), might be to nice for some but I love wearing it.
Second picture shows the Mark with his two new best friends (all hand-wound)!
Enjoy.
Kind regards, Salutations sincère, Met vriendelijke groet,

Looks great Merijn, can't wait to see more photos!
And I definitely love the trio in photo number 2. Congratulations!

Omar Khayyám (Persia XI-XII Century) offered that Time should not only be measured in length but also in width due to the intrinsic difference between a minute or other depending on what is happening to the beholder... I wonder how a watch would look like...

Beste Merijn, As a fellow country man, I am very interested in the W.W.W KNIL watches. I did some research on them. I found out that 4 of the 12 W.W.W. brands have been purchased by the Dutch Government, between 1945-1950 : Longines, Omega, JLC and of course IWC. In no military museum (Delft, Soesterberg) is a KNIL W.W.W. present. Less than 15 are known. Most of them showed up in Australia and Japan, which is to be expected knowing the history of KNIL. Most important are the movement and casenr. as the caliber of the W.W.W watch (cal. 83) has been produced 66.000 times and many so called W.W.W.'s are fake. As you do have an extract of the Archives, your watch will be genuine, I suppose. The KNIL inscription has not been made by IWC nor the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) but by the KNIL itself. Several techniques have been used, suggesting that the KNIL numbering with 4 digits was done locally, in the East Indies, now Indonesia. I have written an article on the KNIL IWC W.W.W., which I can send to you electronically, if you provide your email address. Hartelijke groeten naar het mooie Parijs dat zolangzamerhand wel in de kerstsfeer zal zijn. Adrian, (alwaysiwc).

Seventeen quid and ten bob for an IWC, if you saw that you'd look a think all sorts, it's a marriage, it's a fake, everything but it's genuine. There was an advert that passed me by and I remember that type of advert in the Sunday papers. Hindsight is a marvellous thing but thinking back in those days it wasn't my taste! Big mistake!
