Pauline, great report. A pity we didn't take a shot of the members present but nevertheless the photos of the watches are great. All thanks to each and everyone who made it to the gtg. Thanks to Kee Siew for liaising with the venue and Goris for the great effort in bringing a very serious(heavy) box of hardware to the gtg.
And of course, We miss Shing and his photo taking capabilities. Thanks Pauline for the splendid report.

Nice report Pauline and welcome to the forum.
I know (from another shared forum) that like me you have a fondness for the larger watches. However I was smitten by something a little thinner earlier this year and I'd encourage you to give it another look.
While on first look it seems completely different from everything else that has passed through my hands, the simplicity of the dial on the Pure Classic reminds of what first drew me into Panerai.
Good luck with your search wherever it should lead you.

Wow, looks like a fantastic GTG!
8 days Portofino is a marvel. For me it was love at first sight. I've tried all the hand-wound movement including the limited edition pure classic, but kept coming back to it. It's beautiful both front and back...
The recently released gold version with white dial shown here is just gorgeous. I'm hoping to get a glance of it soon.

For now, here's my Pure Classic.
